The Puha Project is a programming stream of the festival that knits together stories and perspectives about the experience of the 2016 earthquake from a variety of perspectives.

 

It is inspired by a story told about the puha plant, a robust and nutritional native dandelion thistle that has been traditionally collected near where the highway roadworks have occurred.
